Wisconsin Pastel Artists ( formerly Southeast Wisconsin Pastel Society
Location: Artist & Display, 9015 W. Burleigh, Milwaukee

Anyone who has an interest in pastels as a fine art form is invited to attend our 2008 meetings. Our local pastel group, recently expanded it's membership coverage to all of Wiscosnin and beyond, now calls itself the Wisconsin Pastel Artists.  It was  formerly called the Southeast Wisconsin Pastel Society.  Our group was formed and created in 2005 to encourage, educate and connect both the aspiring & experienced pastel artist. Whether you've never picked up up a pastel stick or are an experienced pastelist come visit us to find out more.  Joining our pastel society provides artist support, workshops, industry news, exhibitions and so much more.  The annual fees are very reasonable, presently $25, students $15.  We are a non-profit organization.  Membership information is available at each meeting or by contacting Rick Citta at rcitta@gmail.rr.com

Meeting dates: Wednesdays, 6 times annually

Time: 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Artist & Display ( 91st and Burleigh, Milwaukee WI )
2008 dates: March 5th, May 7th, July 2, September 3, November 5th.

Introduction to Pastel
Location: Tucumcari, New Mexico

Artist Rick Citta will be teaching a two-day Introduction to Pastel workshop in Tucumcari, New Mexico. 
The dates are Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4, 2008. The cost is $150 per person. The location will be in the Eastern New Mexico Art Space. 


If you have never been to New Mexico this is your chance to experience the Land of Enchantment with all of it's unique beauty and magical landscape.   Consider traveling to New Mexico and explore the it's amazing sights and wonderful cultural appeal and of course include this special workshop in your schedule. 

Tucumcari is approximately 2 -1/2 hours east of Albuequerque NM on 1-40, the old Route 66.  Travel Amtrak for a more cost effective, leisurely mode of travel.  Join us for a great art experience in a great place that you will never forget.
